Walters water plant to undergo major upgrades soon

On 2026-05-08, the Oklahoma Water Resources Board awarded Walters $114,000 for upgrades to the city’s water and sewage system. The city said the work will be phased in and is expected to begin within the next couple of months, including improvements to filters, clarifiers, pumps, and a new water tower plan.
