Ahmedabad civic body launches mega HPV vaccination drive today

On 2026-05-07, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation conducted a city-wide mega HPV vaccination drive as part of its ongoing immunisation programme to prevent cervical cancer. The campaign offered free HPV vaccination to eligible girls aged 14 to 15 at urban health centres and municipal hospitals in Ahmedabad. Officials said the broader programme had targeted 48,561 girls and had already vaccinated 22,137 before the drive.
