UDF government denotifies Kerala SilverLine rail project, drops protest cases

On 2026-05-20, the Keralam state Cabinet decided to fully denotify the SilverLine semi-high-speed rail project in Thiruvananthapuram. The government also said it would recommend withdrawal of protest-related cases and removal of land acquisition boundary markers. The move effectively ends the controversial rail initiative launched by the previous government.
