On 2026-05-07, TerraPower Isotopes broke ground on a 250,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at the former Philadelphia Energy Solutions refinery site in Southwest Philadelphia. The company said the $450 million plant will produce actinium-225, a radioactive isotope used in cancer treatment research. The project is the firm's flagship manufacturing site.
