Tanzania PM bans blocking students over tuition fee disputes

On 2026-05-15, Tanzania Prime Minister Dr Mwigulu Nchemba directed higher learning institutions in Dodoma to allow students to sit for examinations despite unpaid tuition fees. The directive was issued in the National Assembly and was aimed at institutions nationwide. He said denying exams would punish students for their families' economic circumstances.
