Syrian Interior Ministry foils Hezbollah-linked terrorist plot in Syria

On 2026-05-05, Syria’s Interior Ministry said its specialized units, working with the General Intelligence Service, foiled a large-scale plot and dismantled a Hezbollah-linked cell in Damascus. The ministry said the operation was preemptive and aimed at preventing destabilization of the country. No fatalities were reported.
