Saudi Arabia boosts Haramain high-speed rail to 2.21 million Hajj seats

On 2026-05-03, Saudi Arabia Railways said it had raised the Haramain High-Speed Train's operational capacity to more than 2.21 million seats for the Hajj season. The rail line will run more than 5,300 trips on the 453-km corridor linking Mecca, Jeddah, King Abdulaziz International Airport, King Abdullah Economic City and Medina.
