ADB to mobilize $50 billion for Pan-Asia Power Grid connectivity

On 2026-05-06, the Asian Development Bank announced plans to mobilize USD 50 billion by 2035 for the Pan-Asia Power Grid Initiative during its Governors' Seminar in New Delhi. The initiative targets cross-border power grid connectivity, including about 20 gigawatts of renewable energy and 22,000 circuit-kilometres of transmission lines across Asia and the Pacific.
