China calls for equitable sharing of AI-driven digital dividends

On 2026-05-06, China’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Fu Cong, spoke at a meeting of the Group of Friends for International Cooperation on AI Capacity-Building in New York. He said people should equally share the digital dividends of AI and stated that China stands ready to work with all parties on global AI governance initiatives.
