China envoy Xu Wei meets on India-China trade and travel

On 2026-05-20, Chinese Consul General Xu Wei in Kolkata praised improving China-India relations and said bilateral trade was making great progress. He also said China expected trade ties to move toward a healthy track and encouraged easier travel and more business visits. The remarks were delivered in Kolkata after a special session on Indo-China trade and development of the North East.
