Pentagon signs multibillion-dollar contract to produce HIMARS rocket launchers

On 2026-04-30, the Pentagon awarded Lockheed Martin a multibillion-dollar contract worth up to $1.132 billion to produce HIMARS multiple rocket launcher systems. The launchers are intended for the U.S. Army and Marine Corps and for foreign customers including Australia, Canada, Estonia, Sweden, and Taiwan.
