Libyan Parliament advances bid for Pan-African parliamentary leadership

On 2026-04-19, the Libyan House of Representatives held a high-level meeting in Libya led by Second Deputy Speaker Misbah Douma, alongside Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Yousef Al-Aqouri and MP Yousef Kamoud Al-Fakhri. The talks focused on coordinating Libya’s bid for the presidency of the Pan-African Parliament and building support from African parliaments and legislative bodies.
