Supreme Court launches 'Samadhan Samaroh' to settle cases in India

On 2026-04-23, the Supreme Court of India announced plans to launch “Samadhan Samaroh,” a mediation-driven initiative to help settle more than 45,000 pending cases. The program, guided by Chief Justice Surya Kant, is intended to promote consensual dispute resolution through mediation and Lok Adalat mechanisms.
