Malaysia PM Anwar rules out pardon for fugitive Jho Low

On 2026-05-16, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said in Ipoh that the government would not consider any pardon for fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho (Jho Low). He said a pardon should not arise because Jho Low is accused of fraud and crimes that caused billions in losses to Malaysia.
