Nikol Pashinyan avoids answering on leaving the EAEU; intelligence chief endorses remarks

On 2026-05-06, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan avoided directly answering whether Armenia would formally apply to leave the Eurasian Economic Union during a joint press conference with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Antonio Costa in Yerevan. He instead emphasized the potential of Armenia–EU relations and shifted to the Armenia–Azerbaijan peace process.
