Lockheed Martin to build new facility boosting THAAD interceptor production

On 2026-05-21, Lockheed Martin broke ground on a new Munitions Production Center in Troy, Alabama, to expand production of THAAD interceptors and future NGI work. The new Building 47 will add 87,000 square feet of production space and is part of a more than $9 billion investment through 2030.
