Law Minister says government will take steps to clear pending court cases

On 2026-04-16, Bangladesh Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md. Asaduzzaman told Parliament in Dhaka that the government has undertaken multidimensional measures to speed disposal of more than 4.04 million pending subordinate-court cases. He also said the ministry would consider public suggestions and noted that a Civil Procedure Code amendment bill had already passed Parliament as part of the reform effort.
