Iran’s foreign minister says Strait of Hormuz open to all except war with Iran

On 2026-05-15, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi said at a press conference in New Delhi that the Strait of Hormuz is open to global shipping except vessels from countries 'at war with' Iran. He also said Iran was ready to help vessels pass the strait and framed access as conditional on the end of aggression.
