Heatwave in Telangana pushes temperatures to 46°C

On 2026-05-03, heatwave conditions gripped many parts of Telangana, with temperatures reaching 46°C in Nizamabad and above 45°C in at least 12 districts. The Meteorological Centre in Hyderabad also issued a thunderstorm warning for several districts, with hailstorm and thunderstorms likely.
