Guam Election Commission OKs 45 primary candidates but rejects Pleadwell-Hermosa

On 2026-05-14, the Guam Election Commission ratified 45 primary candidates and rejected Jeffrey Pleadwell and Charlie Hermosa’s independent gubernatorial campaign for failing to meet the petition signature requirement. The commission said more than 400 signatures used "Jeff" instead of Jeffrey Pleadwell’s legal name, so the campaign will not appear on the Aug. 1 primary ballot.
