Egypt signs $900 million deal with Trafigura to expand Nag Hammadi aluminium complex

On 2026-05-06, Egyptalum and Trafigura signed a strategic partnership to expand the Nag Hammadi Aluminum Complex in Egypt. The project, estimated at $750 million to $900 million, will add a new production line of 300,000 tonnes per year and double total output capacity to 600,000 tonnes annually.
