Poland calls Israeli envoy to MFA as Sikorski comments

On 2026-05-21, Poland’s foreign minister Radosław Sikorski ordered the immediate summoning of Israel’s chargé d'affaires in Warsaw. The Polish side said it would convey its outrage and demand an apology over what Sikorski called the “highly inappropriate behavior” of an Israeli government member, while also pressing for the immediate release and humane treatment of Polish citizens detained in connection with intercepted boats.
