Australia, New Zealand and Colombia launch Pacific drug task force

On 2026-05-21, Australia, New Zealand and Colombia announced a joint task force to disrupt illicit drug shipments before they reach Pacific shores. The launch was made at a press conference during the inaugural Pacific Transnational Crime Summit in Momi Bay, Fiji, and includes funding from the AFP, New Zealand Police, the Australian Border Force and New Zealand Customs to partner with the Colombian National Police.
