Suspected herdsmen ambush kills four in Agatu, Benue

On 2026-05-03, suspected armed herders ambushed residents in Aila community on the Aila–Odugbeho road in Agatu Local Government Area, Benue State. The victims were reportedly on their way to church or a nearby village when the attackers opened fire. Local officials and residents confirmed that four people were killed, and some others were said to be injured or missing.
