Argentina government seeks Public Ethics Law reform to curb politic use of state resources

On 2026-05-09, the Government of Argentina said it is working on a reform of the Public Ethics Law to tighten rules on officials' political activity. The Casa Rosada said the draft would define more concrete limits on use of institutional emails, work time, telework, social media, official vehicles, and pressure on subordinates, drawing inspiration from the U.S. Hatch Act.
