27 Maoists surrender in Jharkhand during anti-Naxal drive

On 2026-05-21, 27 Maoists from the banned CPI (Maoist) surrendered before police in Ranchi during an anti-Naxal drive. The surrender occurred in the presence of Jharkhand DGP Tadasha Mishra and senior officers from Jharkhand Police, Jharkhand Jaguar, and the CRPF. Officials said the surrender was part of Operation Navjeevan and the group would be rehabilitated.
