Pablo Hernandez de Cos

Pablo Hernández de Cos is a Spanish economist and monetary policymaker who has served as the general manager of the Bank for International Settlements since 1 July 2025. He served as the 70th governor of the Bank of Spain from 2018 to 2024. He also served as chairman of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision and as chair of the Advisory Technical Committee of the European Systemic Risk Board.
