Mung Chiang

Mung Chiang is a Chinese-American electrical engineer and academic administrator who served as the 13th president of Purdue University since January 2023. He is the youngest president of a top-50 American university in recent history, taking office at age 45. On May 18th, 2026, he was announced as president of Northwestern University, with his appointment becoming effective on July 1, 2026.
