John Carey

John Newton Carey is an Australian politician and member of the Australian Labor Party. He has represented the seat of Perth in the Western Australian Legislative Assembly since 11 March 2017. Carey was elevated to Cabinet in March 2021 following Premier Mark McGowan’s historic re-election victory, taking on the portfolios of Housing and Local Government.
