Antonio Nieto

Antonio "Tony" Nieto is an Earth systems and mining engineer known for his work in georesource estimation and mining innovation. He is the founder and executive director of The MineralsTech.org innovation center and an adjunct professor in the Department of Mining Engineering at the University of Utah. In March 2026, he was appointed Vice President of Technical Services at Namib Minerals. He previously served as the executive director of The FLSmidth Mining and Minerals Technology and Research Center.
