Office of Temporary Disability Assistance

The Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) is a division of the New York state government responsible for overseeing programs that provide financial assistance, housing support, and other services to individuals and families in need. It administers initiatives such as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). It is part of the pro forma Department of Family Assistance along with the Office of Children and Family Services.
