Civil Cooperation Bureau

The South African Civil Cooperation Bureau (CCB) was a government-sponsored death squad during the apartheid era. The CCB, operated under the authority of Defence Minister General Magnus Malan. The post-apartheid Truth and Reconciliation Committee pronounced the CCB guilty of numerous confirmed killings, and significantly more suspected killings that were difficult to trace, particularly due to the destruction of evidence.
