# Subprocessors

GDELT Cloud uses third-party subprocessors to operate hosting, the operational database, analytical storage, MCP infrastructure, agent observability, payments, CRM workflows, and email. This page lists the current set and the data each one processes.

## What is a subprocessor

A subprocessor is a third party that processes customer or operational data on behalf of GDELT Cloud to provide a specific service. Each subprocessor runs its own security and compliance programme and processes data only for the purpose described below.

## Current subprocessors

| Google BigQuery | Source ingest of the public GDELT article stream | Upstream GDELT article feed; service-account query metadata |
| Manufact | MCP server hosting and deployment at mcp.gdeltcloud.com | MCP requests and responses, authentication metadata, and operational logs; gateway payload capture is disabled |
| Horizon (Prefect) | Legacy MCP server runtime retained during migration at gdelt-cloud-mcp.fastmcp.app | MCP request metadata, authentication metadata, and related operational data |
| Stripe | Subscription billing and one-time payments, including additional Brief credit purchases | Billing contact and metadata, subscription state; card data handled by Stripe |

## Updates and notification

We update this page when we add or materially change subprocessors. Commercial customers may request advance notice for material subprocessor changes as part of their agreement with GDELT Cloud.
