Massive wildfires burn over 3,000 acres in Clay and Putnam Counties, Florida

On 2026-04-20, the Florida Forest Service reported that the Crews Road Fire in Clay County and the Railroad Complex Fire in Putnam County merged into the Railroad Fire. The wildfire had burned about 3,000 acres and was 10% contained, with state, federal, and Florida National Guard resources responding.
