Andhra Pradesh minister pledges drinking water for Anantapur residents

On 2026-04-05, Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav inaugurated a water treatment plant at Muddalapuram village in Anantapur district. The plant has a capacity of 16 million litres per day and was built with Central government funds under the AMRUT scheme. Officials said it was intended to ease drinking water shortages in the city ahead of summer.
