Liberia’s Cabinet advances Monrovia redevelopment plan to tackle unregulated construction

On 2026-04-13, Liberia’s Cabinet advanced review of the Greater Monrovia Urban Redevelopment Program, a flagship plan aimed at improving planning, congestion, and the capital’s infrastructure. The cabinet also reviewed related infrastructure policy and regulations for roads, water, planning, and environmental management, but had not yet issued final endorsement.
