Vermont labor board orders state to end return-to-office requirement

On 2026-04-02, the Vermont Labor Relations Board ordered Gov. Phil Scott’s administration to rescind its return-to-office requirement for state employees. The board found the state had refused to bargain in good faith and interfered with employees’ rights. Scott called the decision disappointing in his weekly press conference.
