On 2026-04-21, a new footbridge and two lifts were installed and completed at Horton-in-Ribblesdale station on the Settle to Carlisle line in North Yorkshire. The 拢7.2m project, partly funded through the UK Department for Transport鈥檚 Access for All programme, improves step-free access and safety for passengers and walkers. It also enables rail transport for Horton Quarry aggregate, reducing lorry traffic on local roads.
