Oman to develop domestic aviation network linking governorates

On 2026-04-16, Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology said it is working to establish and develop a domestic aviation network connecting the governorates. The plan also includes building and upgrading several domestic airports, including sites in Al Jabal Al Akhdar, Masirah Island, and Sohar, to improve internal air connectivity and tourism access.
