India expands RELIEF scheme to Egypt and Jordan amid West Asia tensions

On 2026-04-18, the Government of India expanded the RELIEF export facilitation scheme to include Egypt and Jordan as eligible destinations for shipments under the framework. The Ministry of Commerce & Industry said the move was intended to support exporters as West Asia tensions disrupted maritime logistics across the Gulf and adjoining regions.
