Canada Post ends door-to-door delivery for 136,000 addresses

On 2026-04-16, Canada Post announced that 136,000 addresses in 13 communities will lose door-to-door delivery and be switched to community mailboxes. The change is part of the Crown corporation's restructuring plan and will be rolled out later in 2026 and early 2027. It affects communities in British Columbia, Ontario, New Brunswick, Manitoba, Quebec, and around Vancouver and Ottawa.
