Defence Production Secretary inaugurates LCH production line at HAL helicopter factory

On 2026-04-13, India’s Defence Production Secretary inaugurated the new structure assembly line for the Prachand Light Combat Helicopter at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited’s New Helicopter Factory in Tumakuru, Karnataka. The same visit also marked the opening of an Automated Storage & Retrieval System at the facility, which is a greenfield plant for LUH and LCH production and future helicopter programs.
