Three Chinese vessels transit Strait of Hormuz

On 2026-03-31, China said three Chinese vessels recently transited the Strait of Hormuz after coordination with the Iranian side. Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning thanked the relevant parties and said the transit occurred following agreement with them. China also called for an immediate cessation of hostilities to restore peace and stability in the Persian Gulf.
