India and Sweden agree to strengthen ties in trade, defense and innovation

On 2026-04-09, India and Sweden held the 8th Foreign Office Consultations in New Delhi and agreed to strengthen cooperation in political engagements, trade and investment, defence and security, innovation, sustainability, and people-to-people ties. The meeting was co-chaired by India’s Ministry of External Affairs and Sweden’s State Secretary for Foreign Affairs.
