Liberia Food Safety Reform Gains Momentum

On 2026-04-28, the Government of Liberia through the Food Authority of Liberia formally launched the Liberian Food Safety Coordination Committee in Monrovia. The inaugural session adopted terms of reference and coordination arrangements, with stakeholders from government, the private sector, academia, civil society, and development partners participating. The initiative is supported by the EU-funded Liberian Food Safety Initiative under the Global Gateway framework.
