On 2026-04-20, the Uttar Pradesh Department of Sugar Industry and Cane Development and the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission signed an MoU in Lucknow to provide free space in sugarcane committee premises for women to run Prerna Canteens and sell products. The initiative was directed under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s instructions and is intended to support women’s employment and self-reliance.
