Taiwan lawmakers launch regional women’s parliamentary alliances

On 2026-04-24, Democratic Progressive Party Legislator Michelle Lin announced the launch of the Pan-Pacific Women Parliamentarians’ Alliance and Asian Women Parliamentarians’ Alliance at a ceremony at the Legislative Yuan in Taipei. The event included foreign ambassadors and Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials and was presented as a way to strengthen Taiwan’s international ties and promote gender equality.
