Hong Kong and UNIDO sign joint statement on development cooperation

On 2026-04-15, Hong Kong and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) signed a joint statement on collaboration. Secretary for Innovation, Technology & Industry Prof Sun Dong and UNIDO Deputy to the Director General Zou Ciyong signed the statement, witnessed by Chief Executive John Lee and UNIDO Director General Gerd Muller in Hong Kong. The statement establishes a cooperative framework on industrial innovation, technology transfer, capacity development, and possible joint development of a centre of excellence on advanced manufacturing and AI.
