Romania Health Ministry: first day of sick leave paid for high-risk workers

On 2026-04-22, the Romanian Chamber of Deputies voted in plenary on exceptions proposed by the Ministry of Health, approving paid sick leave for certain high-risk patients. Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete said the measure covered chronic patients, people in national health programs, day-hospitalization patients, and medical-surgical emergencies.
