New tornado warning issued for western U.S. area

On 2026-04-17, the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for all of Kenosha County, Wisconsin, after severe thunderstorms capable of producing a tornado were reported along a line moving east at 30 mph. The warning was set to expire at 8:45 p.m., and an update later noted that the warning had expired while a tornado watch continued.
